TF2 Jedi Knight 2 : Jedi Outcast review: By Smiles
Hi My name is Smiles from GameOn.co.uk
This is my Review for Jedi Knight 2 : Jedi Outcast for the PC
Jedi Knight2 Review:
Jedi Knight2 is about two people called Dasarn and Tavoin want take over and destroy the Jedi order and the Jedi Council- and Creating a new army to help. As you may have thought, you kill one or both. (I'm not quite Sure yet)
In the game, you play by the Character Kyle Katarn. He has Main Characters from the Star Wars Film to help him, e.g. Luke and Lando and someone who is'nt in the Film, She's Called Jan, which is the 1st person to help you in the game.
At 1st you just start with Basic weapons, and then later on in the game, you get more powerful Weapons, like these: LightSaber Stun Baton (this is one of the 1st weapons you get) Byear Blaster Pistol (this is one of the 1st weapons you get) E11-Blaster Rifle (this is one of the 1st weapons you get) Wokkie Bowcaster Disintegrating Rifle Imperial Heavy Repeater Golan Arms F11 Flechiete Weapon Electric Gun (I don't know the proper name again) Missile Launcher Detonation Packs Thermal Detonator
Kyle went to do the Mission because the Jedi Council wanted him to get some info about Dasarn and some other things, but they knew that he couldn't do it alone, so Jan went with him. When you land the Ship, there are simple Enemys to defeat, but there's a lot of them, but there easy to kill, they are Stormtroppers, there easy because with your E11-Blaster Rifle, press Mouse2 (right Button) you fire in quick Semi-automatic and you fire two Bullets at once! And with the Byear Pistol, Hold down mouse2 with that one to charges ups a fire and attack enemys with 5 single bullets at once.
Near the start of the of the game, you start to learn new Force powers but the force powers don't only force enemys, it can force dead enemys, Ammo, new Weapons and Medic Packs or even force Push down Buttons, but don't force pull, you might Break the Button!.
Later on in the game you get force powers and here's a Rough list of force powers I've got at the moment: Force Speed (version 1 and 2) virsoin1 is that you can move 100% your normal speed and the world around you slows down100% and Virsoin2 is that a Jedi runs 400% faster it's normal speed and the world around you slows down 400% Force Jump (3virsoins Versions now!) virsoin1 a Jedi jumps higher then normal. Virsoin2 a Jedi jumps 6X higher his normal height and Versoin3 a Jedi Jumps 12 X its normal height Force Heal (3versoins again,) virsoin1 a Jedi heals it's self, but any movement or attack (both ways) will stop the Healing. Virsoin2 and Jedi no longer needs to stop attacking or moving and it use your force powers slower than versoin1 Versoin3: Jedi Heals Rapidly Mind Trick: (3 Versions) Versoin1: A Jedi can trick an Enemy (it only works on the Weak-Minded) into looking around not knowing your there, or make them open doors for you Versoin2: you can trick an enemy for 10 seconds, but doing the same thing as versoin1 Versoin3: you do the same thing as version2, but you can turn and enemy on your side in stead of them not knowing were you are and it can last for 15 Seconds. Force Grip (Force Choke) you choke an Enemy to death Lighting: player strikes a Bolt of lighting to an enemy, doing instant damage Force Pull (3 Versions) *don't know Version1* Version 2: a Jedi can pull Weapons out of enemys hands Version3: a Jedi can pull Weapons out of Multiple Enemys hands, and pull enemys into your LightSaber.
On Yavin, you start to get four Force powers, they are force Pull, Push, Speed and Jump, then they give you trials for each one, I think the hardest ones are the Push and Jump trials, the other two are easy, but the very easiest is pull trial then when you find the LightSaber, you can only get it by doing a force Speed and Force Pull, then you can have some fun with it.
Some Weapons have a "Secondary attack", that means a Weapon is able to do two different attacks with the same weapon (the answer is in the name) all of your weapons have Secondary attacks accept 1, which is: Stun Baton and the weapons witch do have a Secondary are: LightSaber Wokkie Bowcaster Disintegrating Rifle Imperial Heavy Repeater Detonation Packs Thermal Detonator Golan Arms F11 Flechiete Weapon Electric Gun (I don't know the proper name again) and Detonation Packs And I'll tell you which Secondary attack for which weapons do what: Detonation Pack: Detonates the Detonations you have put down Thermal Detonator: explodes when it's hits a wall, Door or Enemy LightSaber: Throws The LightSaber and then it returns back to the Player Imperial Heavy Repeater: throws a Power full bomb that explodes within 5 Seconds or it hits an Enemy Golan Arms F11 Flechiete Weapon: Throws two Grandes that explode within 5 Seconds or if it Hit's an Enemy Electric gun: Fires a Bolt of Electric that makes a Ripple like this (((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))))))))))) Wokkie Bow Caster: fires an Arrow that can bounce off up to 2 or 3 Walls or Floor Disintegrating Rifle: Zooms in with a Scope and can power up a Charge to disintegrate an enemy, but it costs 30 Ammo.
Later into the game, you start to get LightSaber Fights, the 1st ones are easy to kill, but later on in the game, they become more stronger and harder to kill, mainly at the end of Besbin, I won't say why.. bit Sneaky, but I used to kill the Easy Siths with my Secondary Attack with the Imperial Heavy Repeater, hehe, but with the Harder ones, they force it back at you! The Saber throw is good for Damaging Siths because if you throw your LightSaber, and Strafte in front of the sith while your LightSaber comes back to you, it will stab the sith in the back, doing TREMANDEOUS damage. The LightSaber can also block Laser Blasts accept from a Missile launcher or Disintegrating Rifle.
By doing a Saber throw, you can kill multiple enemies there is two ways of doing this Way one is by throwing your LightSaber at a Row of Enemys and way two, which is said above, is to throw your LightSaber no were near the enemy, then Strafte in front of the enemy While your LightSaber comes back to you, then the enemy shall get stabbed in the Back and die. (But it won't die if it's a sith)
Near the beginning of the game, there is Gun Turrets that you can sit in to get Stronger Fire Power and sometimes you need them to continue with the game and you can't get damaged in it, but do when the Turret is blown up. The Turret can also affect things that your Weapons can't affect, Like Scout Walkers (but later in the game you can kill them yourself) and kill them that is why there so helpful.
Near the beginning of the game, you get Scout Walkers and near the end of the game, you can get inside one and drive it, you have to weapons you can use, you can sue main guns at the Bottom of the head and the Guns at the side of the head, it is quite fun to run Stormtroppers, Siths and People in Gun Turrets
All the way threw the game, there are things called "Security Cameras" which can show you different areas and sometimes shows you were you have to go, but some of them can only be watched from enemys they can also watch something happen that you have done, and sometimes later on in the game, you need to power some up to view them.
Later on in the game, you get these like Black armour guys with a LightSaber in the hand, but there not like any other sith though, there the Elite Siths and they can go invisible and because of the armour, they are hardly affected by your LightSaber so you need a lot of Courage a Skill to destroy them, best way I find to Kill them is by Using Force Lightning or Force Grip.
Later in the Game, you start to pick up things called "Portable Assault Sentry" I don't use them much, they just sit there in my Inventory, the enemy can also put down the Turrets I'm actually quite mean, but they can only shoot a serten amount of Bullets so I Stand in front of it, deflecting it's shots with my LightSaber, then, it drained out and Could not shoot anymore so I just left it there, bit sneaky of me, really. They Sentries can on the Floor, but there's enemy Turrets that can go on the ceiling, and I thing you can collect them near the end or something like that.
And at last but not Least, is the Seeker Drone, this small hovering ball is Similar to the Training Drones, but more deadly than them, they are actually very good when your Fighting Siths because the Sith is more bothered on killing the Drones, you can kill them from behind and they can also investigate areas and stand foot on killing enemys and will not stop Fighting, unless it dies, they always stay next to you and go ahead if they sense enemys.
